About
I’m looking for a skilled script writer for my new History channel, which produces dark, cinematic, and high-retention historical documentaries for YouTube (~20 minutes long, 3,400–3,600 words per script). Looking to get 2 scripts per week and I will be paying $5 per script. The goal is to create engaging, story-driven scripts that hold attention from start to finish that align with my channels style of being dark and cinematic. You will be provided with the title/topic of the video, and potentially some example videos to reference scripts from. From there you should: - Research assigned historical topic (sources will sometimes be provided, but you should also know how to dig deeper). - Write compelling scripts (~3,400–3,600 words each) following my channel's style - Be able to write extremely strong and effective hooks to instantly gain the audiences attention - Setup: sets the stakes, teases unanswered questions. - Main Body: dramatic, fact-driven narrative broken into escalating sections. - Climax/Resolution: shocking or emotional payoff with a sharp closing line. These are some examples of roughly what I'm looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVxvn4Va0b8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRzUkVSLQo4
