Role Overview As our Email Deliverability Expert, you will be responsible for maximizing inbox placement, improving domain reputation, and ensuring compliance with email marketing and cold outbound best practices. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to optimize email campaigns and infrastructure for high deliverability, engagement, and conversions. Key Responsibilities • Infrastructure Management • Configure, monitor, and optimize email sending domains, DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), and dedicated IPs. • Manage warming strategies for new domains and IPs. • Oversee list hygiene and suppression management. • Deliverability Strategy & Monitoring • Continuously monitor sender reputation, bounce rates, spam complaints, and inbox placement using deliverability tools (e.g., GlockApps, Postmark, Litmus, or similar). • Develop and execute strategies to mitigate issues and maintain a high sender score. • Conduct ongoing audits of sending practices, infrastructure, and data quality. • Compliance & Best Practices • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other email regulations. • Advise on cadence, volume, and content best practices for outbound campaigns. • Create internal playbooks and documentation for scaling best practices. • Optimization & Reporting • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to provide insights into subject lines, copy, and segmentation that improve engagement while protecting deliverability. • Report on deliverability KPIs and trends, with recommendations for improvement. • Stay current with email ecosystem changes (Google/Yahoo requirements, new authentication standards, filtering behaviors). Requirements • 3–5+ years of proven experience in email deliverability management, ideally with SaaS or outbound sales-driven companies. • Deep technical knowledge of DNS, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), and mail transfer agent (MTA) systems. • Experience with deliverability monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., SendGrid, Postmark, Mailgun, Validity, Warmup Inbox, GlockApps). • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, etc.). • Data-driven mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex deliverability issues. • Excellent communication skills and ability to train non-technical teams on best practices. Nice-to-Haves • Experience with cold outbound prospecting at scale. • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo). • Past experience working with Gmail/Yahoo bulk sender requirements.
