• SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for daily product distribution including pick-ups, deliveries and selection of product within warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Responsible for daily noting of mileage and vehicle conditions in vehicle log and related registers as required by N.Y.S.D.O.T;
• Responsible for proper care and operation of vehicle, assists vehicle maintenance schedule;
• Reports all vehicle maintenance needs to Holt Street Facilities Manager;
• Supports and is backup for Warehouse Assistants and assists with overall warehouse maintenance;
• Assists warehouse management in special projects as requested;
• Loading, transporting, and delivering/picking up items to safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before loading to ensure that deliveries are completed accurately.
• Loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, scanner gun, printer, etc.; and
• May require occasional coverage at the Falconer area work locations.
• Assist with any and all mission work as needed and requested with some or no prior notice including, but not limited to: serving as a truck spotter, helping with Farm Market/Community Garden/Freight Farms/on and off-site food distributions, preparation of meals and serving home-delivered meals
• Other duties as assigned or needed

• Requirements
• Must possess a New York State Class B Commercial Driver's license and have a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience; CDL A Preferred
• Must have a history of responsible driving;
• NY State Certified to operate Tow Motor/Forklift equipment preferred;
• Ability to quickly and proficiently learn new software including but not limited to Net Suite Oracle, WAERLinx, RoadNet and Paylocity;
• Must be literate with four basic math skills;
• Proficient in MS Office; and
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds for up to two hours continuously.
