Position Overview:

We are hiring a Call Taker / Dispatcher to support our tow truck operations. This position plays a key role in coordinating timely and efficient roadside assistance. We're looking for someone reliable, organized, and comfortable using dispatch tools and handling high call volumes. Automotive knowledge is required, especially with drivetrain systems and commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls for towing, breakdowns, accidents, and recovery services
• Gather accurate customer, vehicle, and location details and input them into dispatch software
• Dispatch the appropriate tow trucks based on location, job type, and equipment needed
• Monitor driver availability, locations, and job status
• Provide updates and clear communication to customers and team members
• Maintain accurate records of all calls and service activity
• Support basic administrative tasks when needed

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Excellent phone communication and customer service skills
• Strong computer skills – experience with dispatch software, GPS tools, and email
• Automotive knowledge is required, including:
• Passenger vehicle drivetrains (transmissions, axles, differentials, etc.)
• Box trucks, semi-trucks, and heavy-duty vehicle systems
• Understanding of recovery needs based on vehicle size and breakdown type
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Prior dispatch or towing industry experience is a plus

• Shift: Day Shift (exact hours to be discussed)
• Schedule: Includes weekends and holidays
• Location: On-site in a dispatch center

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
