A Brooklyn Navy Yard company business is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwashers to join our client’s team at a high-end chocolatier. This role is essential to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and production areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping a tidy environment and can be trusted to handle specialized equipment, including light cleaning of the chivalry mill and other chocolate-making tools. This role is temp-to perm.

Key Responsibilities:
-Wash dishes, utensils, molds, and kitchen tools by hand and using commercial dishwashing equipment.
-Sanitize work surfaces, sinks, and other kitchen areas regularly.
-Gently clean chocolate production equipment, including the chivalry mill, following established protocols.
-Remove trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety standards.
-Refill cleaning supplies and maintain stock of dish soap, sanitizer, and paper products.
-Assist with occasional deep-cleaning tasks, such as scrubbing floors, walls, and drains.
-Follow proper hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
-Collaborate with production staff to ensure timely cleaning of tools and workspaces.

Requirements:
-Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a food production environment (Minimum of one year of exp)
-Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow sanitation procedures.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
-Attention to detail and ability to handle delicate equipment with care.
-Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
-Highly coachable and can take constructive criticism.

Hours: M-F - 9-530PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
