Job Summary

  • The Director of Compliance ensures that the Boys & Girls Club operates in full alignment with grant, contract, and regulatory requirements. Acting as a collaborative partner, this role supports staff in meeting compliance expectations, coordinates accurate and timely reporting, and fosters open communication with funders and stakeholders. The Director of Compliance plays a key role in monitoring funded programs such as 21st Century, Teen Reach, RPSA, and CACFP, ensuring accountability, data accuracy, and program impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to grant/contract compliance and reporting.
  • Partner with Finance and Program teams to ensure timely, accurate submission of reports to funders, including financial and programmatic outcomes.
  • Monitor spending and ensure funds are allocated in accordance with funder guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor CACFP compliance, provide staff support, and document findings.
  • Administer and track 21st Century surveys, supporting program staff with data collection and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with program teams on reporting requirements for Teen Reach, RPSA, and other state and federal grants.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance systems, databases, and reporting trackers.
  • Use Salesforce (MyClubHub) to gather data for reporting and ensure accurate documentation of services and outcomes.
  • Provide training, resources, and coaching to staff on compliance requirements, reporting expectations, and documentation standards.
  • Support staff preparation for audits, site visits, and reviews by funders or oversight agencies.
  • Foster strong relationships with funders, auditors, and oversight agencies through timely communication and professional engagement.
  • Identify compliance risks and work collaboratively with staff to recommend and implement corrective actions.

  • Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in compliance, grants/contracts management, auditing, or related field.
  • Direct experience with compliance in 21st Century, Teen Reach, RPSA, and/or CACFP strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting compliance monitoring visits and preparing reports required.
  • Previous nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
  • Background in compliance training, systems development, or internal process improvement a plus.
