  • Job Summary
  • The Director of Commercial Operations will be responsible for building and leading the commercial operations function at Priority Power, serving as the connective tissue between Sales, Finance, Development, Operations, and Commercial Leadership. This role will ensure visibility, discipline, and consistency across our sales pipeline, forecasting processes, and CRM adoption. The Director will design and implement workflows that streamline how information flows between teams, enabling sales to focus on selling, development to focus on engineering, and finance to focus on financial analysis.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • CRM & Data Governance
  • Partner with the CRM implementation team to ensure Salesforce (or chosen CRM) meets commercial needs and evolves as the business grows.
  • Own and manage the commercial workflows within CRM, working closely with sales leaders to bridge sales, finance, development, operations and other key departments.
  • Establish and enforce processes for opportunity creation, review, approval, and submission to finance and other departments as needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and visibility across multiple lines of business.
  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting
  • Build a healthy cadence of pipeline reviews and overviews to help leadership assess probability, deal type, margin profile, and customer trends.
  • Partner with finance to streamline forecasting by ensuring sales inputs are timely, complete, and accurate.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for finance, commercial leadership and other key areas to assess, review, and analyze performance.
  • Provide standardized insights that enable leadership to predict and manage business performance effectively.
  • Support sales commission processes by analyzing deal data, validating inputs, and providing reporting on payouts for the sales team and finance.
  • Process Design & Commercial Discipline
  • Create and manage workflows that define opportunity stages, required information, and where data is stored.
  • Drive cohesiveness across lines of business so that reporting and forecasting can be scaled consistently.
  • Build and enforce commercial discipline around pipeline visibility and accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Serve as the bridge between sales, finance, development, operations, and commercial leadership, ensuring each group’s needs are met without duplicative effort.
  • Work closely with the development team on certain opportunities (e.g., grid infrastructure) where preliminary engineering, costing, proforma, and feasibility analyses are required.
  • Create and facilitate seamless handoff processes between sales, development, and execution teams to ensure opportunities transition smoothly from pipeline to delivery.
  • Act as the “glue” across departments to foster collaboration and ensure clear accountability.
  • Partner closely with finance leadership to support accurate revenue forecasts, while reducing manual data gathering.
  • Requirements
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or revenue operations roles, with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience working directly with finance teams on forecasting, reporting, and revenue-related processes.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI required.
  • Experience collaborating with technical/development and operations teams on complex opportunities (e.g., infrastructure, energy, or engineering projects).
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce (or similar CRM); Salesforce experience and/or certifications a strong plus.
  • Process improvement or project management certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and enforce scalable workflows across multiple business lines.
  • Proven success in building cross-functional alignment and acting as a strategic partner to sales, finance, operations, and leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Sales focuses on selling, with clear and simple processes for entering and updating pipeline data.
  • Development has seamless visibility into opportunities requiring engineering, costing, and proformas.
  • Operations has access to accurate, timely commercial data to support execution.
  • Commercial leadership has reliable visibility into deal stages, types, margins, and probability.
  • Sales commission payouts are accurate, timely, and transparent, with confidence from both the sales team and finance.
  • Key reports and dashboards are consistently available to assess, review, and analyze commercial performance.
  • CRM is fully adopted and embedded into daily commercial workflows.
  • Leadership has consistent, accurate reporting to assess and guide performance across lines of business.
