Shepherds Shelf is seeking a talented calligraphy and illustration designer to help us create meaningful, faith-centered artwork. These designs will be engraved onto Bibles, journals, and other Christian products—serving as keepsakes and gifts that inspire and uplift. We are looking for a designer who is not only skilled but also passionate about creating artwork that reflects the beauty of Christian faith. Responsibilities: - Create original calligraphy and hand-lettered designs featuring Bible verses, inspirational quotes, and faith-based messages. - Develop illustrations, icons, and decorative elements (crosses, doves, floral/ornamental borders, scripture motifs, etc.) that complement engraved products. - Adapt designs to fit engraving requirements (single-color, line-based vector formats). - Deliver production-ready vector files (AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF) optimized for engraving machines. - Collaborate with our team to ensure designs align with our brand style and spiritual mission. Requirements: - Proven experience in calligraphy/hand lettering and illustration design. - A portfolio showcasing relevant work (faith-based or inspirational designs preferred). - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar vector design software. - Understanding of engraving/print-ready file preparation (line thickness, vector outlines). - Strong attention to detail and ability to create elegant, timeless designs. Bonus: Familiarity with Christian symbols, scripture typography, or prior work with religious themes.
