To.Scale, on behalf of one of our clients – a major Japanese automotive manufacturer – is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help shape the future of connected mobility.

This isn’t a back-office role. You’ll be hands-on at the core of how cars, apps and services come together, building the pipelines, infrastructure, and automation that make modern connected vehicle platforms run smoothly at scale. From Terraform blueprints to Kubernetes clusters in AWS, your work will keep systems secure, reliable, and lightning-fast for millions of users.

• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and keep pipelines humming with GitLab CI / Argo CD
• Deploy, scale, and debug Kubernetes workloads in AWS (EKS focus)
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with cybersecurity teams to bake security into everything we ship
• Troubleshoot issues across infra, pipelines, and apps — you’ll be the calm in the storm when things break
• Tune AWS environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Share knowledge, review code, and help raise the DevOps bar across the team

Requirements

• 3–5 years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on skills with Terraform (non-negotiable)
• AWS expertise (IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, API Gateway)
• Kubernetes deployment & debugging experience
• CI/CD know-how (GitLab CI preferred, Argo CD a plus)
• Scripting chops in Python and/or Bash/Shell
• Agile team player with problem-solving drive

• Broader AWS toolkit (Lambda, RDS, Route 53, S3, etc.)
• Secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Container ecosystem (Docker, Helm, Istio, Traefik, Nginx)
• Monitoring & logging (DataDog, Grafana, Splunk, ELK)
• Security scanning tools (Prisma Cloud, Xray, SAST/DAST, etc.)

• Contract Type: Freelance (To.Scale is the Employer of Record)
• Initial Duration: Until March 31st, 2026 (extension possible)
• Rate: Based on 220 days/year, converted into a fixed monthly fee that includes paid time off and local public holidays
