  • Description
  • This position is primarily responsible for general building and grounds maintenance, facility alarms, vehicle shuttling, snow removal, recycling, etc.

Essential Functions

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following

  • Professionally communicate and coordinate all company outsourced maintenance projects covering multiple locations.
  • Participate in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested.
  • Serve as initial point of contact for facility alarm response after hours.
  • Communicate with all outside vendors regarding services and maintenance supply order needs.
  • Attend and participate in all warehouse trainings regarding safety or general information.
  • Perform all maintenance duties in buildings and/or on surrounding properties to include, but not limited to, light fixtures, plumbing, painting, minor HVAC, etc.
  • Must be able to work indoors in a warehouse environment which is subject to temperature changes not easily controlled by heating or air conditioning.
  • Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and maneuver effectively around warehouse/stores and warehouse/stores property.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and/or twist frequently.
  • Must be able to lift heavy furniture up to 500 lbs. safely and with assistance while moving merchandise in various positions without causing damage to merchandise or property.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass initial and quarterly MVRs.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical exam every two years.
  • Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the maintenance field.
  • Knowledge of the challenges and strengths of a business industrial environment.
  • Customer Focus, Dependability, Teamwork, Time Management, Equipment Maintenance and Documentation Skills.

Strong understanding and/or working knowledge of the following

  • Welding
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Mechanical
  • Possess good math skills.
  • Must be able to use hand tools effectively.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • The physical demands of this position are considered Heavy. Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
