Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Data Research Specialist to compile a comprehensive dataset of manufacturing companies across the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience in market research, database building, and B2B lead generation. This role requires gathering, verifying, and organizing company information into a clean, structured dataset that can be used for outreach and business development. Responsibilities Research and identify manufacturing companies across all U.S. states using reliable sources (databases, directories, industry associations, government records, trade publications). Collect and compile company data into a structured spreadsheet or database. Required data fields include (at minimum): Company name Address (street, city, state, ZIP) Phone number Company website Contact email (general or decision-maker if available) Industry classification (NAICS/SIC codes) Size metrics (employee count, revenue range if available) Ensure data accuracy by verifying contact information and removing duplicates. Deliver the dataset in a usable format (Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets). Provide progress updates and communicate any data challenges. Requirements Proven experience in data research, list building, lead generation, or market research. Familiarity with U.S. business directories, data vendors, and manufacturing industry resources. Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets and data organization. Knowledge of NAICS/SIC codes for manufacturing is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Experience with data verification tools (e.g., email/phone validation) preferred. Deliverables A clean, deduplicated dataset of U.S. manufacturing companies. Minimum fields: company name, address, phone, email, website, industry code. File format: Excel or CSV, ready for upload into CRM or marketing systems.
