Job Summary Reporting to the EMPI Operations Manager, the Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of patient records within the EMPI at Mass General Brigham (MGB). This position requires a high level of analytical skills and investigative abilities to maintain data integrity across MGB entities and affiliates. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong analytical skills, can work independently and in a group setting, and excels in a fast-paced environment. They play a vital part in maintaining patient identity and data integrity by using their skills and tools to resolve identity discrepancies to support patient care delivery, data exchange, analytics, and critical business processes throughout the MGB network. • Analyze and resolve complex data discrepancies presented in various work queues (i.e., potential duplicates, patient overlays, data conversion, and data integration models) utilizing various identity applications • Determine root cause of data integrity issue, develop appropriate and comprehensive correction plan, and participate in the correction process collaborating with others as necessary. • Observe and report operational trends or issues, communicate relevant findings to management and team members. Actively contributes to process improvement plan or initiative. • Provide education to end users on established MGB policies and procedures regarding data integrity and patient identity to support standardization throughout the organization • Deliver excellent customer service to patients and advocates patient rights to confidentiality through interaction with MGB entities, affiliates, community practices, and the public. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and all job-related applications. • Shows ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others, contributing to a cohesive team environment • Participates in on-call support rotation, providing 24/7 availability to address and resolve any urgent system issues or concerns that may arise. This involves promptly responding to calls, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions to remediate the issue. • Uses the MGB values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors.
