The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in company databases and systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update customer, financial, and product information into databases and systems.
- Verify data accuracy and correct errors before and after data entry.
- Retrieve data as requested by authorized personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
- Prepare and organize source data for entry by compiling, sorting, and reviewing information.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Generate reports and perform basic data analysis when required.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and document management.
- Follow company data entry procedures and quality control standards.
- Communicate with team members to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 40–60 WPM preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.99 - $31.28 per hour
