The Data Analyst at Conductor Power LLC will be responsible for turning construction and project data into insights that improve efficiency, cost control, and decision-making. This role combines core analytics with IT support, offering the chance to shape data strategies while also assisting with system configurations and troubleshooting. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and leadership, the Data Analyst will track key metrics such as material usage, labor productivity, and budget performance, using tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI/Tableau. As the primary analytics resource, this individual will also serve as backup for project software and user management, ensuring secure and smooth system operations. The position reports to the Director of IT & Innovation and is best suited for someone detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and analyze construction-related data from various sources, including project logs, financial records, and site sensors, to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to provide real-time insights for project teams and management.
- Perform statistical analysis and forecasting to support budgeting, scheduling, and risk management in construction projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement data collection processes tailored to construction workflows.
- Act as a backup for IT systems by managing user permissions, roles, and access controls in company software platforms.
- Assist in configuring and customizing data management systems, such as ERP or CRM tools, to align with operational needs.
- Troubleshoot basic system issues related to data integrity, integration, and performance, escalating complex problems to IT specialists as necessary.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations, including GDPR or local construction standards, through regular audits and protocol updates.
- Train staff on data tools and best practices, fostering a data-literate culture within the company.
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and IT trends relevant to the construction sector, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Power BI for data modeling, visualization, and analysis, ideally with Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
- Skills in connecting to data sources, transforming raw data with Power Query, and creating impactful reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of data architecture in Microsoft ecosystems (e.g., Azure, SQL Server, Excel integration) for designing scalable solutions for data ingestion, storage, and governance in construction workflows.
- Advanced proficiencies in computer applications, including data analysis tools, programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA), and construction-specific software (e.g., Procore) to streamline workflows and enhance data processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex datasets, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and develop innovative solutions to optimize construction processes and renewable energy project outcomes.
- Ability to work in teams and lead projects.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, information systems management, business management, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Certifications in SQL, Python, or industry-specific tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to demonstrate practical skills.
- 3-5 years of experience for mid-career professionals, including project management tasks like planning, execution, and estimation in data-driven environments.
- Hands-on experience with construction metrics (cost tracking, resource allocation, site performance data) to identify trends and inefficiencies.
