# Customer Retention Strategist & Email Marketing Manager (Shopify + Klaviyo) ## Project Overview We're seeking a strategic, hands-on email marketing expert to own and elevate our customer retention program. This is not just an implementation role; we need someone who will develop the strategy, execute it flawlessly, and continuously optimize to drive measurable LTV growth. ## What You'll Own **Bottom line:** You own customer lifetime value (LTV). Your success will be measured by retention metrics, repeat purchase rates, and revenue from existing customers. ## Responsibilities ### Phase 1: Strategy & Implementation - Audit our current retention efforts and customer data - Develop comprehensive customer retention strategy - Design and implement automated email flows in Klaviyo: - Post-purchase sequences - Win-back campaigns - VIP/loyalty nurture - Set up segmentation strategy based on customer type - Integrate with Shopify for seamless data flow ### Phase 2: Ongoing Management - Create and deploy 7-10 email campaigns per month - Design all email creative (using brand templates - or developing new templates) - Manage A/B testing across flows and campaigns - Analyze performance and optimize continuously - Report on key retention metrics (repeat purchase rate, customer LTV, email revenue, etc.) - Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and retention ## Required Skills & Experience **You must have:** - ✅ **Proven Klaviyo expertise** with portfolio of successful retention programs - ✅ **Shopify integration experience** and deep understanding of e-commerce data - ✅ **Email design skills** (HTML/CSS or strong design tool proficiency) - ✅ **Strategic mindset** - you don't just execute, you think - ✅ **Data-driven approach** - you live in analytics and make decisions based on performance - ✅ **A/B testing experience** with documented results - ✅ **Track record of improving LTV** in DTC e-commerce brands We're looking for a long-term partner who will grow with our business, not a one-and-done implementer. ## What We Need in Your Proposal 1. **Your Retention Success Stories**: Share 2-3 specific examples where you've improved customer retention metrics.
