We are seeking an experienced Confectionery Manufacturing Consultant to assist with the launch of a new private label candy brand. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sourcing ingredients, early-stage negotiation with suppliers, and vetting potential manufacturing partners, particularly in the US and Israel markets. Your knowledge of industry standards and trends will be invaluable in setting up our production process. If you have a passion for confectionery and a proven track record in the field, we would love to hear from you. Strategy & Direction * Recommend the best candy category to launch with (e.g., gummies, chocolate, hard candy) * Advise on sourcing strategy: United States vs Israel or other. * Provide realistic startup MOQs, pricing ranges, and timelines * Identify common risks and pitfalls for new candy brands Targeted Manufacturer Sourcing * Identify and vet a few legitimate candy manufacturers (factories, not brokers) * For each manufacturer, provide: - Product capabilities - MOQ and pilot-run options - Pricing range - Lead times - Certifications (FDA, kosher, etc.) - Packaging capabilities (if applicable) Supplier Positioning * Assist with initial supplier outreach or introductions * Support early pricing and MOQ discussions * Prepare us to conduct final negotiations directly with selected manufacturers Requirements * Proven experience sourcing food or confectionery manufacturers * Familiarity with FDA compliance and/or kosher certifications * Ability to distinguish real manufacturers vs intermediaries * Strong communication and structured deliverables Location Preference Preference given to consultants based in the United States or Israel with experience in food or confectionery manufacturing.
