  • Objective
  • Under general supervision, formulates, processes, packages, documents, and maintains adequate inventory of finished professional products for company use.
  •  
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • 1. Responsible for 100% accuracy in documentation of batch record activities, adherence to procedure, and a timely delivering of batch samples to appropriate inspecting personnel.
  • 2. Weigh, add, and mix prescribed quantities of raw materials in prescribed sequence and duration, per procedure.
  • 3. Notify appropriate inspection person before starting any production operation and ensures their verification of all operational steps.
  • 4. Operate equipment in performance of job responsibilities such as mixers, weigh or analytical scale, forklift, etc.
  • 5. Clean work surfaces and equipment before and after use.
  • 6. Adhere to rules and regulations when neutralizing and/or disposing of materials.
  • 7. Adhere to company and departmental policies and procedures including ISO, safety, and security.
  • 8. Maintain organized and clean work area ensuring tools and supplies are stored in proper places at end of shift.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  •  
  • Education and/or Experience 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with compounding a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to complete forms accurately and write routine notes and documentation.  Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

  • Ability to learn various software programs.

  • Driver’s license; forklift license.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
  • Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or related field.
  • Knowledge of current company products and processes.
  • Skill in demonstrating proficiency in working with hand and power tools.
  • Skill in demonstrating keen eyesight with the ability to differentiate slight color shades.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude in performing minor equipment adjustments and maintenance.
  • Ability to demonstrate good mathematical skills, including aptitude for weights and measures.
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods in sitting or standing position, bending over, climbing stairs or ladders. 
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, both verbal and written, with employees of various disciplines within various departments and all other internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to accurately perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain moderately complex documentation systems.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • The posted range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00 per hour which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
