  • POSITION PURPOSE
  •  
  • Performs the daily functions associated with the ordering and review of commercial loan documents, booking and funding complex commercial loans while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and Prosperity Bank policies and procedures.  Supports the lending staff (CRE, Middle Market, Professional and Entrepreneurial, Corporate/Energy and/or Commercial Lending) in a centralized environment.  Interacts with lenders, borrowers, underwriters and credit analysts, Underwriting, Information Technology, Compliance, Audit, and other departments as well as outside vendors such as attorneys, title companies and insurance companies.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  •  
  • 1. Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of Prosperity Bank policies, procedures, guidelines, and philosophies. 
  • 2. Knowledgeable of all aspects of commercial loan documentation, understanding legal entities and loan documents such as Notes, Security Instruments, Loan Agreements, etc.
  • 3. Reviews LaserPro and attorney prepared documents prior to booking and funding to ensure loan stipulations on the Loan Approval and Credit Memorandum are met
  • 4. Works with Loan Officers, borrowers, title companies and/or attorneys in closing and funding of loans
  • 5. Reviews title policies to ensure accurate legal description, loan amount, and acceptable exceptions; may prepare loan closing instructions for title company closings
  • 6. Determines proper loan system coding (e.g., product type, collateral codes, call codes, etc.) and books loans on the core system
  • 7. Funds loans accurately and ensures financial transactions balance each day.
  • 8. Provides top quality service to lenders and lending staff, while meeting service guarantees
  • 9. Provides documentation expertise to the team, assisting others with interpreting complex loan documents
  • 10. Works routinely with senior lenders and upper management
  • 11. Follows all compliance policies and procedures, OCC rules and regulations, state and federal laws governing responsibility area of lending
  • 12. Completes annual compliance testing/training/certification on time
  • 13. Provides technical assistance and policy guidance to team members as needed
  • 14. Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as required, assigned, or directed

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma, GED or equivalent.  Associate degree preferred
  • Required Knowledge:        
  • Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years current loan document review and closing experience including two key lending areas such as Corporate/Energy, CRE, C&I, Entrepreneurial, Middle Market, etc.  Experience with Participations and Syndications is a plus.
  • Skills/Abilities: Detailed organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

  •                            Communicate effectively with co-workers, external professionals and management.
  •                            Disciplined self-starter requiring little supervision
