About

Hi. I'm an award-winning independent comedy filmmaker who specializes in slapstick parody and satire. I have 15 years of content on YouTube you can check out. In addition to Christopher Nolan now head of the DGA, and announcements of his new film in the works, I am currently searching someone to write me a 30-45 page comedy screenplay that spoofs his work. Something I can film as a 30-45 minute featurette for WAY under $10,000-$5,000. Something I can shoot myself with my own equipment, get friends to help either shoot or act, or hire people online. Almost like a home movie but with a better camera. If filming is completed, I plan on screening it locally, doing a festival run, self-distributing it and releasing it publicly on my YouTube channel. You got a passion for Nolan? GREAT! Doesn't matter if you are a huge fan or despise his work, give me your funniest take on his movies, but I do expect your taste in parody humor to be of good quality. I know I said EXPERT it the description, but I don't care if your a high schooler, a college student, grad looking for work, or a professional writer with DECADES of experience, as long as you have a passion for Nolan, Parody, Comedy, Slapstick and Screenwriting. The EXPERT tab is just for your knowledge and passion for parody writing. Doesn't have to be a movie mashup like everything that's come out since Scary Movie, doesn't have to be a parody of one particular movie he made, you don't have to pressure yourself to shove in all of his tropes and cliches like SNL. Personally I prefer the comedy style to be inspired by Monty Python, Mel Brooks, Airplane, The Naked Gun Series (OH yes. ALL 4 movies, baby!), Hot Shots, Wrongfully Accused, Jane Austen's Mafia!, The Simpsons, Scrubs, etc. Mainly the plan is I'm just looking for someone to write me a rough script idea of what I could do to take on this subject with my camera. If your script gives me a lightbulb or a sense of inspiration or I get passionate about it, I plan on taking your material and using it to write my version, and I'd love to go back and forth with the material with you until we're both satisfied. That way the script feels more organic. Do whatever you want with the story as long as it's a detective mystery. No deadline yet, but if you don't have a script on you right now, maybe try and get it done by the end of the year. If you have a script sitting on the shelf somewhere and you just came across this post? GREAT! Send it to me immediately, I'll read it! Keep it PG-13. Be as ORIGINAL, CREATIVE, IMAGINATIVE, CLEVER, and UNIQUE with your jokes, references, and gags as possible without stealing anything. NO INTENTIONALLY CRINGE HUMOR. This isn't an FX, HBO series or a trashy R-Rated anti-comedy from 2007-2015. Your job is to amaze us and bring us joy, not make us unimpressed, groan and rub our eyes in embarrassment, or stop reading the script knowing exactly what's going to happen and not looking forward to it cause you've seen it a million times and it never works...Sorry, side tangent. I currently have a tight budget so I don't know if I can afford to pay you back at the moment as long as I like your material. But for now compensation is NEGOTIABLE. If your script is doable and I can film it and filming wraps, you WILL receive credit/co-writers credit, and invitations to screenings. Please hit me up if anyone is interested out there and make me laugh with your anti-Nolan script ideas!
