Client relationship & originations role focussing on Banking, Government and Education sector Be part of this progressive and innovative environment Perth WA based position See yourself in our team: Sitting within CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets business, the Banks, Government and Education coverage team proactively develop client relationships and originate new business opportunities through thought leadership, structuring and execution of product solutions tailored to the needs of our public sector clients. Do work that matters: As an Associate Director in the team you’ll play a key role in delivering overall relationship management for your client’s, enabling you to respond to their needs and identify and execute new business opportunities, making a positive impact for our client and the Bank. Further responsibilities will include: Relationship management of a portfolio of public sector clients to deliver capital, transactional and risk management solutions Develop expertise in the Government and Education sectors and provide unique insights into market and industry conditions in order to identify and originate viable transaction, structuring and business improvement opportunities. Cultivating and owning relationships with client Treasury and C-Suite executives Leading and supporting a deal or project team in transaction execution Coordinating with internal business partners within the Bank to develop and execute client engagement strategy, including the preparation of external client presentations Identify and actively manage the full spectrum of risks associated with the origination and on-going management of clients. This includes the probity risk associated with government tender processes. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: A strong academic background with tertiary studies which may include Business, Commerce, Engineering or Law. Proven experience in engaging and building credibility and strong client relationships, and leveraging internal relationships to deliver against revenue and client satisfaction targets. Prior exposure to Government and / or Education sectors desirable but not essential. An extensive background in Institutional banking with an acute understanding of key drivers affecting the industry NB: Experienced Senior Associates will be considered. Demonstrable writing, analytical and presentation skills necessary to build complex structure transactions and prepare exceptional client presentation.
