About
Never is a micro-budget sci-fi feature with a high-concept narrative in the tradition of Primer, Looper, and Ex Machina. The story centers on a scientist's relentless pursuit to reverse his son's disappearance which leads him into a dangerous dance with time, where every second gained might undo his reality. Dark, emotional, and atmospheric, the film is designed for festival audiences, distributors, and genre fans who love cerebral sci-fi with heart. Though it was made with a low budget we managed to make a really good movie. The story, performance, cinematography and music came together amazingly. We are seeking a high-quality trailer to maximize impact with audiences and industry buyers. Scope of Work We are seeking a talented trailer house or trailer editor to craft an emotionally gripping, atmospheric, and market-ready trailer. It should not only showcase the sci-fi elements but also capture the emotional core and human drama at the heart of the story. Deliverables include: • Main Trailer (90 seconds) – polished, cinematic, distributor-level quality that builds tension and emotion ⸻ Requirements • Proven experience editing emotionally driven, cinematic trailers for distributors, streamers, or notable indies • Ability to craft narrative-driven storytelling through pacing, music, and sound design that resonates emotionally with audiences • Strong sense of genre marketing and ability to balance sci-fi intrigue with heartfelt drama • Ability to provide or source: • Custom sound design and mix • Voiceover (if appropriate for concept) • Professional title design / graphics • Willingness to collaborate closely with director/producer while maintaining a marketing-first sensibility ⸻ Ideal Candidate / House • You’ve cut trailers for films that have played at a top film festival or in theatres • You know how to make a trailer emotionally gripping, suspenseful, and unforgettable • You understand the needs of distributors and sales agents as well as festival programmers • Comfortable working with indie filmmakers with limited but focused budgets
