Accountabilities

  • Lead development and delivery of go-to-market strategies, focusing on product assortment, pricing, promotion, placement, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and sales organizations to translate brand and category objectives into actionable customer-specific plans.
  • Develop and automate reporting tools, dashboards, and category reviews to track sales KPIs, monitor competition, and provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee production of category selling materials and presentations, facilitating alignment with retail partners and deployment of shopper test-and-learn initiatives.
  • Serve as the category expert by continuously analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and shopper behavior to guide strategy and growth.
  • Assist in planning and executing sales meetings, quarterly reviews, and act as the voice of sales within cross-functional teams.
  • Travel 20-25% to engage with customers and support field sales teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in category management, sales strategy, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with syndicated and shopper data sources (e.g., Circana, Numerator, Mintel, Scintilla).
  • Experience with JDA or Apollo systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills, able to communicate complex data clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate both at a high-level vision and detailed execution.
  • Growth mindset with intellectual curiosity and ability to influence stakeholders across teams.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with flexibility for remote work and in-office collaboration.
  • Competitive salary range of $115,000 to $140,000 based on experience and location.
  • Year-round half-day Fridays and generous PTO including 11 holidays.
  • 6% 401(k) match after one year of service.
  • Hybrid work model with 2-3 days in-office expected for Northern California employees; remote options considered.
