CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst V opening for our client in Baltimore, MD.

Duration: 7 months

Overview:
Responsible for facilitating complex projects from proposal through post-implementation. Acts as a liaison between business units and IT, gathering and analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring the effective use of applications. Leads large-scale projects, serves as a mentor to junior analysts, and is expected to become a subject matter expert in assigned systems within 18 months.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and execute testing for assigned projects
• Conduct thorough analysis of complex data to ensure accurate functional design
• Mentor junior analysts in application training, project methodologies, and analytical techniques
• Serve as functional lead on complex projects, facilitating meetings and documenting outcomes
• Work directly with business clients to gather, clarify, and document requirements for application enhancements or changes
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure alignment with system capabilities
• Estimate project timelines and phases for large and small initiatives
• Act as a subject matter expert on system functionality and implications of enterprise-wide changes
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage functionality and implementation
• Lead system integration and data mapping efforts for conversions or enterprise initiatives
• Coordinate and execute testing efforts, including end-to-end validation and defect resolution
• Ensure project scope remains aligned with regulatory and business requirements
• Manage change requests and support resolution of issues during implementation and post-go-live
• Provide post-implementation support, gather feedback, and conduct project reviews
• Adhere to risk management standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment
• Support audit and regulatory efforts through timely and complete documentation

Scope of Responsibilities:
Involves cross-functional coordination with technical and business teams, direct client interaction, and leadership of complex projects impacting multiple applications and business units. Expected to provide strategic insight on system usage and influence project direction based on functional knowledge.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
No direct reports but expected to mentor junior staff and provide guidance to peers and project teams.

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 6 years of combined higher education and/or business analytics experience
• Strong communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools
• Experience preparing and executing detailed test plans and functional specifications

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Subject matter expertise in business functions and supported systems
• Experience managing multiple complex projects
• Strong understanding of integrated applications and enterprise systems
• Familiarity with project management tools and application development platforms
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
• Experience with system conversions or bank acquisitions preferred
• Detail-oriented and proactive with demonstrated ability to deliver results

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $40 to $60. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
