The Business Applications Analyst will be responsible for identifying, defining, documenting and validating the quality of business processes and business requirements to meet desired business outcomes. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and vendors to ensure that business needs are accurately captured, understood, and translated into effective solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high quality requirements
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, side by side visits, and storyboards
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with the business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, process flows, and business requirement documents.
  • Establish test strategies and design and conduct test plans and cases.
  • Support the delivery teams as they develop and deploy solutions.
  • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for automation to improve productivity, reduce errors, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Execute regression tests to ensure that new code changes do not impact existing functionality.
  • Participate in sprint planning & stand-ups.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis or related field
  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience including an understanding of Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, and automation processes.
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.
  • Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both administrators, developers and business partners to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Experience creating documentation such as process flows and business requirement specifications.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Agile planning tools, such as Jira.
  • Salesforce admin certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Copado Robotic Test Automation is a plus.
  • Prior experience with the lead to order, order to cash, service quoting, professional service automation, procure to pay, and/or record to report process area(s) is a plus.
  • Prior experience with value added resellers and/or professional service organizations is a plus.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
