The Red Hat Agility and Technical Solutions (AnTS) team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst job level 3 to join us in Raleigh, NC. The Business Analyst is responsible for working with minimal instruction and leading the resolution of varied and non-routine complex project-related activities. Person in this role will work closely with the two data analysts on the team. The role exercises expert judgment and creative solutioning to resolve complex issues that impact overall project delivery. The Business Analyst may coordinate the activities of other team members (team lead) to ensure successful completion of projects and assignments. This position provides mentorship and guidance to new team members, supporting their development and project understanding. What you will do Ensure project requirements and proposed solutions are aligned with Red Hat’s strategic goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design, to architect and design solutions that effectively meet complex business needs. Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business strategy and requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows. Proactively communicate and manage expectations with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity and consensus. Define and document clear user acceptance criteria (UAC) and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between the current state ("as-is") and the desired future state ("to-be"), modeling business processes and identifying opportunities for optimization. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of process practices across Product Engineering, including dashboard designs and training materials to support successful implementation and user adoption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration within the software development lifecycle, driving continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices; share use cases for successful experiments with stakeholders for broader use. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini), as relevant, for tasks such as brainstorming solutions, deep research, summarizing technical documentation, drafting communications, summarizing complex technical information, and enhancing problem-solving efficiency across the development lifecycle. What you will bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in a business analyst role. Strong understanding of BPMN 2.0 (business process modeling and notation). Proven ability to translate customer needs into actionable business solutions and requirements. PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP, or equivalent industry certification strongly preferred. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to conduct cost/benefit analyses and provide clear recommendations. Ability to work independently and lead others during projects Ability to resonate with technical and non-technical audiences and serve as a conduit between the two Demonstrated success working with global and cross-functional teams. The following is considered a plus Additional certifications such as ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, or PRINCE2. Familiarity with Red Hat’s product portfolio and open source software business models. #LI-EK1 The salary range for this position is $86,770.00 - $138,850.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
