Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial data for our organization.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, or Xero.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare financial reports, income statements and balance sheets.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and payroll processing to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. .
- Collaborate with other departments to provide insights into financial performance and assist in account analysis.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a solid understanding of financial concepts and double entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero) is a plus; familiarity with public or non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare detailed reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members.
