I am looking for an experienced book cover designer to finalize and refine two covers (hardback and paperback) for a memoir/creative nonfiction book titled Book of Small Humor. I already have mock-ups at about 80% completion (created in Photoshop) and clear reference examples. The design direction is established, but I need a professional to polish, finalize, and prepare production-ready files for Amazon KDP (and potentially other platforms). Project details: • Book Title & Authors: The Book of Small Humor by Keith Middlemas and his son Avi • Design Style: Aged leather aesthetic with a wood-burned effect for the title and author text • Deliverables: • Finalized hardback cover (front, spine, and back) • Finalized paperback cover (front, spine, and back, slightly different formatting) • Print-ready files in both Photoshop (PSD) and/or InDesign (layered, editable) • High-resolution exports for Amazon KDP specifications What I’ll provide: • My current Photoshop mock-ups (about 80% complete) • Example covers with the look/feel I want • Exact text (title, author names) and layout notes What I’m looking for in you: • Strong portfolio of book covers (especially textured, vintage, or leather-look designs) • Experience preparing files for Amazon KDP print (hardback & paperback) • Ability to refine existing work, not just start from scratch • Clear communication and a collaborative approach This is a one-time project, but I’d love to find a designer I can work with long-term on future book and design projects. Please include examples of similar work you’ve done (covers with vintage, textured, or aged designs are ideal).
