We are searching for a Proposal Engineer to support our Marketing & Program Development team by preparing accurate, compelling bids and proposals that showcase ICE’s technical capabilities and drive new business.

- The Opportunity
- As a Proposal Engineer, you play a key role in our business development process. You will analyze customer requests, interpret technical drawings, build cost and material estimates, and prepare polished proposals that reflect the precision and quality ICE is known for. Working closely with Marketing Engineers, Program Managers, and cross-functional teams, you’ll help secure new customer partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
- What You’ll Do
- Review and analyze customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation to fully understand technical and program requirements
- Build accurate estimates and ensure data integrity within estimating tools and pricing models
- Support the development of written proposals, customer response letters, and bid packages with clarity, professionalism, and technical accuracy
- Present estimates to internal stakeholders and support pricing reviews and decision-making
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to gather required details, clarify requirements, and enhance proposal accuracy
- Track proposal status from submission through decision, maintaining follow-up and customer engagement as assigned
- Capture and log feedback on wins/losses, pricing, schedule, and competitive intelligence to support continuous improvement

- What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and cost-estimating practices
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and project-based documentation
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or Creo (preferred)
- Organized, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple deadlines with precision
- A positive, collaborative work style and ability to thrive in a team-based environment
