Summary:

The Barge Cleaner & Repair employee is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of all vessels used to transport material.

Responsibilities

Perform general, manual labor tasks including unloading, lifting, and moving material

• Cleaning, washing, and painting of barges

• Ability to tie off barges in a safe and proper manner

• Operate automated equipment or hand tools to clean or prepare interior and exterior product surfaces
• Safe loading and unloading procedures for barges
• Able to use trash pumps to pump water from void tanks and hoppers of barges as needed
• Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
• This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs

Must meet U.S. Coast Guard physical requirements

Job Type: Full-time
