• The Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, desserts, and other specialty items, to meet the demands of a large facility. This role requires expertise in baking techniques, time management, and the ability to maintain consistency and quality while adhering to production schedules and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• • Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including bread, rolls, pastries, cookies, cakes, and other desserts, according to standardized recipes and production needs.
• • Measure and mix ingredients precisely to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods.
• • Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and dough sheeters, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
• • Monitor baking processes, including proofing, baking times, and temperatures, to achieve desired results.
• • Manage daily production schedules to meet facility needs, including large-scale orders, special events, and routine offerings.
• • Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts as needed, including custom designs for special occasions.
• • Oversee the storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• • Collaborate with kitchen staff and supervisors to develop new recipes, improve processes, and accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests.
• • Track inventory and notify supervisors of ingredient shortages or equipment issues.
• • Train and guide junior staff or assistants in baking techniques and facility protocols as needed.

Qualifications

• • 5 years proven experience as a Baker in a large-scale production or commercial kitchen.
• • Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques, including bread-making, pastry creation, and cake decoration.
• • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices; certification preferred.
• • Ability to follow detailed recipes while managing large-batch production.
• • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a high-temperature environment.
• • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• • Creativity and passion for baking high-quality goods.
• • Attention to detail and precision in measurements and techniques.
• • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
