About The Inn at Mount Snow:The Inn at Mount Snow is a 20-room boutique hotel nestled in the picturesque town of Dover, Vermont, at the base of Mount Snow, a ski resort owned by Vail on the Epic Pass. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Innkeeper/Property Manager who loves hospitality, enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, and thrives in a small team environment. This role is ideal for someone who can manage both the daily operations of the property and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services & Relations:
- Ensure a smooth guest self-checkin and self-checkout process and recommend improvements for most common questions/concerns.
- Act as primary contact for guest communications, addressing issues promptly to ensure positive experiences.
- Maintain open communication with guests to foster strong relationships and encourage repeat direct business.
- Adhere to established SOPs quality standards and performance metrics.
Property Management & Maintenance:
- Oversee the daily operations and staffing of the inn, including housekeeping and breakfast coordination, maintenance scheduling, and ensuring the property remains in top condition.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team and third-party vendors for repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance ensuring the property remains in top condition..
- Ensure all facilities are functioning optimally and that the property is well-maintained reporting issues back to owner/partners.
Breakfast & Event Coordination:
- With assistance from housekeeping, organize shopping, setup and breakdown of the daily continental breakfast, ensuring it’s adequately prepared and presented for guests.
- Coordinate Assist in organizing small events or gatherings at the inn with the assistance of local vendor partners, working with guests to make their special occasions memorable.
Administrative Duties & Financial Management:
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, inventory management, and coordinating with vendors or service providers.
- Monitor the financial performance of the property, including budgeting, expense management, and reporting.
- Enforce property policy terms for any long-term stays or rental agreements, handling notices and legal processes as needed.
- Submit receipts weekly to the accounting department
Marketing, Social Media & Strategic Planning:
- Coordinate with social media consultants and provide up to date materials (photos, testimonials, etc) to share on social media to ensure service levels are met (ie. two Social Media posts per week)
- Ensure that guest reviews are responded to within service level guidelines (ie. respond to review within 48 hours, etc)
- Work with the Executive Management team on marketing initiatives to enhance the inn’s visibility and reputation. (i.e. involvement in local events)
- Lead team meetings and contribute to the strategic planning and continuous improvement of hotel operations.
Team Coordination & Vendor Management:
- Manage housekeeping and maintenance personnel
- Report back to partner/owners to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective property improvements and maintenance.
- Lead by example and support the team in delivering exceptional service.
Move-In/Move-Out & Emergency Response:
- Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, and room turnovers, ensuring that rooms are prepared to the highest standards.
- Be available to handle any emergencies that may arise, coordinating repairs and ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
Seasonal Decor & Ambiance:
- Help create a cozy, inviting atmosphere through floral arrangements, seasonal decorations, and thoughtful touches throughout the inn.
- Coordinate deliveries and installations with outside vendors.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in property management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for guest satisfaction and positive guest experiences.
- Technical Skills: Technologically adept and comfortable using and learning new apps with working knowledge of building mechanical systems.
- Project Management: Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Flexible Availability: Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business and ensure seamless guest service.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
- Location: Must reside within 30 minutes of West Dover.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
