The position requires analyst participation in development and qualification of ligand-binding assays such as ELISA for the detection of antibodies to novel candidate vaccines in support of candidate vaccine programs. Responsibilities include generation and characterization of reagents, performance of experiments for development and qualification of assays, throughput sample testing for pre-clinical and clinical studies, equipment maintenance, tracking of laboratory consumables, data review, when required, and writing related procedures and reports. As an integral member of the dynamic team, the incumbent must have a strong work ethic and be highly collaborative with the other group members. All the above always includes practicing laboratory safety and efforts toward GLP compliance. What You Will Achieve Perform all functions to support assay development and analysis of pre-clinical and toxicological samples. Perform assays to support critical assay reagent testing, assay development/ troubleshooting. Collect and analyze data on a per project basis to support assay development, troubleshooting, reagent evaluation and qualification and other lab projects. Document all aspects of assay work, maintaining accurate, clear, and complete records. Assist in ordering supplies from internal inventory and order/prepare reagents/supplies necessary for assay work. Assist in updating and writing documents associated with assays, including information/data archiving, SOPs and status reports. Satisfactorily complete all GLP and safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements. Stay current on all departmental and corporate training. Maintain a detailed inventory of freezer reagents, including controls, proficiency panels, and reference standards. Present progress on assay development and sample analysis to colleagues and senior management. Provide critical data review of testing data. Build team skills and collaborate effectively within the work group. Organize work to meet deadlines and apply technical skills. Follow procedures for assigned tasks and seek guidance when necessary. Performs other tasks as assigned. Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) Bachelor's in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or biochemistry 0-3 years of experience in a relevant field Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting Strong attention to detail Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software Experience with aseptic techniques The incumbent will be trained on required Policies, Practices, and Procedures needed to support work responsibilities. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements): Pharmaceutical and biotech drug discovery experience Master's degree preferred Knowledge of ELISA, Luminex technology, and other ligand-binding immunoassay platforms Experience in developing and troubleshooting bioassays designed to assess antibody functionality Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to perform work while standing/sitting. Work Location Assignment: On Premise The annual base salary for this position ranges from $58,500.00 to $97,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
