- Position Summary
- The Sales Readiness Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of the sales team by working closely with the Instructional Design team and Sales Leadership. This role functions similarly to a Product Manager for the sales enablement function, identifying training gaps, developing structured enablement programs, and driving continuous sales improvement through coaching and instructor-led training (ILT).
- Key Responsibilities
- Sales Enablement Strategy
- Partner with sales leadership to identify training gaps, performance deficiencies, and coaching opportunities.
- Define and prioritize sales readiness initiatives to align with key business goals and sales objectives.
- Act as a liaison between sales and instructional design, ensuring that enablement content meets real-world sales needs.
- Training & Coaching Development
- Design and implement sales training programs, including onboarding, ongoing skill development, and role-based enablement.
- Work with instructional designers to develop engaging learning content, including eLearning, job aids, playbooks, and role-based certifications.
- Create and facilitate instructor-led training (ILT), workshops, and hands-on coaching sessions.
- Performance Optimization & Coaching
- Establish a feedback loop with sales teams to ensure continuous improvement of training programs.
- Partner with sales managers to develop coaching frameworks that reinforce best practices and improve deal execution.
- Leverage data-driven insights from sales performance metrics to refine training programs and assess their impact.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with product marketing, sales operations, and product teams to ensure sales teams have the right messaging, positioning, and competitive insights.
- Collaborate with customer success and partner teams to extend sales readiness across the customer lifecycle.
- Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales training, or sales operations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sales training programs in a B2B sales environment.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, including solution selling, value-based selling, or challenger sales.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), sales enablement platforms, and coaching tools.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to engage both executives and frontline sales teams.
