Virtual Assistant (VA) to Mortgage Loan Officer Position Type: Remote, Part-Time (30 hours per week) Compensation: $5/hour (paid weekly/biweekly depending on arrangement) Reports To: Mortgage Loan Officer Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Virtual Assistant to support a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) in managing daily tasks, client communications, lead calling, loan processing coordination, and social media presence. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative support, customer service, and digital marketing, with a strong ability to multitask and streamline processes. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support Manage the MLO’s calendar, schedule client calls/meetings, and send reminders. Prepare documents, presentations, and reports as needed. Organize and update CRM systems, loan tracking spreadsheets, and client files. Draft, proofread, and send professional emails, letters, and follow-ups. Lead Calling & Client Communication Call inbound and outbound leads to qualify interest and schedule appointments. Follow up with potential borrowers, referral partners, and past clients. Serve as the first point of contact for borrowers to answer basic questions. Maintain consistent client touchpoints, ensuring excellent borrower experience throughout the loan process. Track conversations in CRM and update loan officer on hot leads or urgent matters. Translate or adapt communication if working with multi-lingual clients (if applicable). Loan Processing Assistance Collect borrower documentation (income statements, tax returns, paystubs, bank statements, etc.). Review documents for completeness and accuracy before submitting to processors/underwriters. Assist with compiling loan applications and disclosures. Track key milestones (pre-approval, processing, underwriting, closing) and update clients. Follow up with third parties (real estate agents, title/escrow, insurance providers) for required documents. Social Media & Marketing Support Manage and grow the MLO’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.). Create engaging posts, reels, and stories highlighting mortgage tips, loan programs, client success stories, and market updates. Design flyers, infographics, and branded content using Canva or similar tools. Schedule posts consistently using scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Hootsuite). Track engagement, respond to messages/comments, and provide analytics reports. Assist with email marketing campaigns and newsletters. Support event promotion (workshops, webinars, open houses). Qualifications Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, Executive Assistant, Loan Officer Assistant, or Social Media Manager. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) with a confident, professional phone presence. Comfortable making outbound calls, following scripts, and handling objections. Proficiency in Google Workspace/Office 365, CRM systems, and loan origination platforms (Encompass, Calyx, LendingPad, or similar is a plus). Familiarity with Canva, social media scheduling tools, and content creation best practices. Knowledge of mortgage/real estate terminology preferred (training provided). Self-starter, creative, and able to work with minimal supervision. Work Schedule & Compensation Hours: 25 hours per week, flexible but must overlap with U.S. business hours for calls. Rate: $5 per hour. Payment: Weekly or biweekly (to be discussed). Performance-based bonuses may be offered for exceptional work.
