Position: Asphalt Coordinator
Status: Salary Exempt
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Reporting To: General Superintendent
Location: 5880 Lipan Street, Denver, CO
Position Summary:
As Asphalt Coordinator, you will ensure the efficient scheduling, staffing and support of asphalt crews while maintaining operational excellence and compliance standards. You will be the key liaison between employees, superintendents, recruiting, and payroll, ensuring smooth communication and accurate reporting.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling and Staffing
- Approve time-off requests in advance to ensure proper staffing coverage in weekly schedules.
- Coordinate with recruiting on open positions and attend interviews.
- Meet with employees after orientation and coordinate training classes for new hires.
- Schedule site-specific badging for DIA, UP, and BNSF as required.
- Enter crew members into XBE for daily shifts.
- Communicate with Superintendents and General Superintendents regarding daily crew assignments and absences.
2. Employee Support and Development
- Meet with new hires the day after their start date to ensure they receive their employee number and to answer questions.
- Train employees on new processes and procedures as they are introduced.
- Assist with coordination of new hire orientation.
- Support disciplinary processes by preparing documentation and termination paperwork; coordinate with payroll for final checks.
- Bilingual proficiency is a strong advantage for the role.
3. Operations and Reporting
- Input daily hours and production data into required systems and spreadsheets.
- Distribute daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Track and manage equipment and supply inventory.
- Process special equipment requests (e.g., skis, notch wedges, etc.).
4. Equipment and Logistics
- Communicate with the shop regarding equipment maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with the transportation manager to move equipment between sites.
- Notify and collaborate with the rental department when equipment goes down.
- Assist with equipment rental management
5. Safety and Compliance
- Communicate with safety and environmental departments as required.
- Ensure site-specific compliance (e.g., badging requirements).
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of administrative experience
- Bilingual
- Industry experience a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
