We are a U.S.-based startup mahjong company bringing Chinese culture to life with a modern American twist. As mahjong continues to grow in popularity, we are developing our own themed collections of tiles. Our first launch is coming soon, and we’ve created detailed guides and concepts for each tile suite. We’re seeking talented artists who can bring these ideas to life through beautiful, cohesive illustrations that capture our vision. In the file below, you’ll find an overview of a classic mahjong set based on traditional Chinese suits. A standard set is made up of three main suits- Dots, Bamboo, and Characters- each containing nine tiles. -Dots and Bamboo: These suits are typically designed to resemble their names. Keeping the designs simple and recognizable allows players to make quick decisions during play. -Characters and Winds: These offer more flexibility for artistic interpretation. -Flowers: illustrated with floral imagery. -Seasons / Jokers: While some sets include a “Seasons” suit, in American mahjong, this functions as the Joker and is usually represented by a symbol or character.
