  • The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple restaurants within a designated geographical area. Their focus is ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining sales and profitability, compliance with policy and procedure, and leading successful company rollouts. Responsibilities (applies to all restaurants in designated area)

  • Operations / Facility
  • - Cleaner / Safer / Better – maintain the highest levels in restaurant operations in hospitality, food & drink quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
  • - Monitor and ensure the effective day-to-day operations of assigned restaurants.
  • - Conduct weekly visits that focus on the quality of restaurant operations, staff appearance, guest service, restaurant cleanliness, employee relations, and employee recognition.
  • - Conduct monthly meetings with restaurant management team to communicate operational initiatives in the market.
  • - Perform restaurant compliance audits on a quarterly basis. Address deficiencies in one-on-one meetings with managers, set needed action plan to fix deficiencies and schedule follow-up time as needed.
  • - Responsible for adhering to all safety procedures by creating a safety conscious culture. Communicates safety initiatives in business review meetings. Ensures compliance with all safety guidelines specific to the industry.
  • - Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health standards.
  • Performance Management
  • - Evaluate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess restaurant performance.
  • - Evaluate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess restaurant performance.-Review weekly online schedules to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to ensure an excellent guest experience. Provide support and guidance to restaurant managers when scheduling concerns arise.
  • - Provide guidance and support to restaurant managers to achieve performance targets.
  • - Generate and analyze reports on restaurant performance, presenting findings to upper management
  • - Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budgets for each restaurant
  • - Monitor and control costs to ensure financial targets are met.
  • - Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making processes
  • People
  • - Identify development needs of restaurant managers thru ongoing internal succession planning.
  • - Oversee the training and development of restaurant team members
  • - Provide guidance on improving skills and knowledge and abilities to enhance overall team performance
  • - Consistently holds restaurant managers and team members accountable for team member performance.
  • - Communicate with Human Resources and Director of Operations General on all employee relations issues.
  • - Personally observe performance, provide direction, support, and follow-up to ensure restaurant managers address and correct concerns or deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • - Foster a collaborative environment among restaurant teams.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement company initiatives and projects
  • Community and Customer Service
  • - Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities
  • - Provide insights and recommendations to adapt strategies based on market conditions
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement community marketing that aligns with mission & values
  • - Coach managers in Local Relationship Building / Community Marketing
  • - Monitor customer feedback and concerns
  • - Implement and coach strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, including additional training and development
  • - Coach/train for excellence in execution in Food / Bar / Hospitality / Catering / Off Premise
  • New Restaurant Openings (NROs) / Reopening Remodeled Restaurants (as applicable)
  • - Manage all operations related responsibilities for NRO’s include the following: identify candidates for all restaurant manager roles; assist in recruiting efforts, provide clear communication to support departments for all store-opening needs. Provide ongoing communication on all new restaurant performance metrics to executive leadership team once the restaurant has opened.
  • - Coordinate with the Training Manager, training restaurants, and support departments to ensure management team members are properly trained for operational, administrative, and development functions.
  • - Collaborates with Training Manager and NRO trainers to properly train FOH and BOH with new hourly team members.

Feathers in Your Cap

  • 2+ Years Multi-Unit Management
  • 5+ Years Restaurant Management Required
  • Bar / Catering / Kitchen / Fast Casual Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of restaurant software: scheduling, inventory, POS, off-premise
  • ServSafe Manager Certification / TIPs Training
  • Proficient working with computers and computer software
