Apartment Manager (Lone Pine) Job Overview Location/Schedule: The position is located at the Lone Pine Apartments in Portland, OR. This is a part-time position expected to work approximately 12 - 15 hours per week. The specific number of hours will be set by management. Due to the nature of residential work, the Apartment Manager must be flexible and available to address emergencies outside of regular working hours. Position Description: We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our residential properties. The Apartment Manager will be responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, the residents' needs are met, and the community is supported in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This role is essential to supporting Cascadia Health’s commitment to providing stable and affordable housing as a critical component of holistic health care. Management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties as necessary. Manage all aspects of apartment operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. Conduct regular inspections of the property to maintain safety and cleanliness. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors as needed. Manage tenant applications, leases, and renewals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Resolve tenant complaints and conflicts in a fair and timely manner. Monitor rent collections and address delinquencies. Provide crisis or emergency response as needed. Operating Hours: This is a part-time position expected to work approximately 12 hours per week. The specific number of hours will be set by management. Due to the nature of residential work, the Apartment Manager must be flexible and available to address emergencies outside of regular working hours. Housing Details: The Apartment Manager will be provided with an apartment as part of the compensation package. Please note that housing for all household members of the manager's unit is contingent upon employment with Cascadia Health as an on-site manager. Occupant will be responsible for all utilities. Qualifications Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Experience: General office experience is a plus. Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Operate computer hardware and software (including Electronic Health Record software) at a level needed to effectively perform job functions Enter and retrieve data and prepare simple reports Other: Ability to commute to various Cascadia sites and community locations as needed. Working Conditions Work is performed in a residential setting. Cascadia’s Housing Development & Property Management works with local governments and funders to develop housing for low-income individuals, and manages 45 properties for a range of residents including Cascadia clients. Although some of the sites managed by Property Management/Housing contain programs of the same name, Cascadia only is involved in the occupancy and maintenance of these properties, not the programmatic aspects. This position will be responsible for one assigned property, to be determined by the Portfolio Manager. Expected Office Hours will vary between properties. Daily routines may be hectic and will likely require the Apartment Manager to perform the tasks of other employees as needed. Meal periods and breaks are subject to interruption. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for violent behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise and contaminants. Mental Demands: The work assigned is diverse and involves addressing new and unusual circumstances in which outcomes may negatively affect costs or clients. The work regularly involves a degree of unpredictability and disruption of planned tasks requiring a flexible time management approach. Physical Demands: Activities and structure will support community integration assisting tenants in continued growth for successful independent living.
