**Summary** I’m looking for an automation engineer who can **design and build smart systems end-to-end** — workflows that save time, reduce manual tasks, and scale operations across marketing, sales, and product. The stack usually includes **n8n, Pipedream, OpenAI, Airtable, Gmail, Slack, and various APIs** — but I’m open to whatever tools you know best, as long as the result is fast, reliable, and well-documented. ### **Description** The **first project** will be to automate our **HARO (Help a Reporter Out)** workflow: * Parse HARO emails as they come in. * Use AI to determine relevance (keep only those related to small business, marketing, automation, or customer experience). * Have AI draft short, founder-style replies using a provided bio and tone. * Queue for manual approval, then send through Gmail API. * Log everything to Airtable and send Slack notifications when sent. Once that’s built and stable, there will be **ongoing projects** automating: * Lead scraping and enrichment (Google Maps, Apollo, etc.). * Outbound outreach workflows with AI personalization. * CRM syncs, reporting, and data hygiene. * AI summarization and analysis for internal ops. You should be comfortable building both **simple automations (Zapier-level)** and **complex multi-step systems (LLM calls, webhooks, error handling, retry logic)**. **The ideal fit:** * Deep experience with **n8n or Pipedream** (or similar). * Understands APIs, rate limits, and how to build resilient systems. * Communicates clearly, documents well, and delivers fast. This will start as a project-based engagement with **ongoing work** for the right person.
