We’re investing in AI and are now on the lookout for a hands-on AI Engineer to help shape MECCA’s future. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves experimenting with emerging tech, and can turn ideas into real, impactful AI solutions. You’ll be a key technical contributor in a greenfield space—building prototypes, MVPs and production solutions while helping define the engineering patterns that will set MECCA up for long-term AI success. The Role You Could Play Design, build and deploy AI solutions—from prototypes to production. Develop AI-powered workflows, agents and system integrations. Create reusable engineering patterns and best practices. Experiment with new AI capabilities and assess feasibility for MECCA use-cases. Collaborate with SMEs and product teams to ensure solutions are safe, human-centred and adoption-ready. What You Will Bring 5+ years in software engineering with strong end-to-end delivery experience. 12+ months building hands-on generative AI-powered solutions. Proficiency in Python, APIs, vector databases and modern AI frameworks. Experience with model integration, agent orchestration and evaluation, and cloud platforms. Strong communication skills and a practical approach to solving complex problems.
