Role Summary: As an Electronics Project Lead in the Cat Technology Aftermarket Enhancements Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading teams with focus on electrical and electronic hardware system integration. This position manages project leadership activities for launch, development, validation, and production release of Aftermarket kit solutions. This role will direct several projects with responsibility for all project development deliverables. Systems include utilization of existing Caterpillar electronic components and controls with aftermarket specific hardware and software requirements. The Aftermarket Kits are available through the parts distribution network and dealer installed utilizing service instructions published concurrently with the product release. The team, based in Mossville AC, executes a range of projects with short NPI cycles of typically less than one year and often has direct interaction with PPG, CPI Teams, dealers, and customers. The team has an innovative environment with a continuous drive for unique customer solutions supporting a broad product portfolio. Responsibility includes leadership for new and existing products including Energy & Transportation Products, Electric Power genset control systems, and Engine monitoring systems. This position will require demonstrated component development and system integration experience. Strong team leadership skills as well as written and verbal communications are a must. This will include working with many internal process partners and marketing groups as well as the global Cat Technology Aftermarket teams in India and China. This position will present in project stakeholder reviews, senior leadership reviews, and lead various project team meetings. This role also provides technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to individual team members. Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Link and Vision Link products and services Lead hardware and software requirements discussions Direct the procurement, build, and validation of prototype and production systems Accountable for Design Reviews and Stakeholder Updates Manage FMEA and DVP&R plan activities, tests, and resulting documentation Manage Field Follow validation activities on Cat and Customer machines Develop and Release BOM engineering drawings into the Caterpillar system Resolve customer questions and issues utilizing the DSN system Mentor and Coach engineering team members for team development and success Provide technical guidance to peers and initiate innovative ideas for products & systems Efficiently deliver Aftermarket products to meet timelines through Agile methodology. What skills you will have: Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Electronics Engineering: Knowledge of electronics engineering; ability to design, test and manufacture electronic circuits, components and devices. Top Candidates will have: Demonstrated technical project leadership in electrical and/or mechanical development projects with proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams Relevant experience in Team Center Creo modeling and virtual simulation tools Technical troubleshooting skills: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a product development environment. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Strong contact network within Cat Electronics and key process groups Experience with environmental validation, EMC testing, Safety and Regulatory Compliance and CE/UKCA compliance certifications documentation and processes Progressive engineering experience in engine or machine control systems, genset controls, component development, and/or system integration. Additional Details: This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville AC office. Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position. Summary Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
