Job Summary

As Kiva's Accounts Payable (AP) Manager, you will work with various teams including Business Operations, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Expansion teams to optimize processes and procedures using systems to scale with company growth. You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and leading an internal team who provide day-to-day AP, expense reimbursable and corporate credit card support. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable delivering on operational goals and process transformation.


As Kiva's AP Manager, you will...
  • Lead the full cycle AP processes for our organization while leading a team of two/three accounts payable staff
  • Identify and execute process improvements to simplify and automate invoice processing
  • Develop and maintain applicable AP policies, procedures, controls
  • Develop supplier/vendor relationships to quickly resolve payment issues
  • Train and support staff and new hires on procure to payment life cycle including three-way match for inventory transactions
  • Ensure adherence to AP monthly closing timelines including approval of payments, assisting with accruals, and meeting T&E reimbursable deadlines
  • Lead the annual tax filings for 1099s
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop internal controls related to accounts payable cycle to ensure compliance with audit
  • Develop relevant metrics and analytics to monitor payables, expenses and cash outflows 
  • Own audit AP and expense audit requests 


  • What we're looking for...
  • 4+ years of related Accounts Payable experience is required
  • 1+ year experience managing a small team
  • Experience with AP processing systems, Accounting ERP and employee reimbursable software (we use Stampli, Intacct, Salesforce, Encompass, and Emburse)
  • Experience in manufacturing / food processing industries 
  • Experience with transactions in multiple entities coded to various cost centers and projects
  • A "roll up your sleeves" mindset to get any job done with the Company’s interests in mind
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Skilled team player with experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders
  • Project management experience
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
