- Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing Product Vendor Accounts Payable accurately and timely. Tasks include
- The Accounts Payable Clerk enters and codes daily mail to expense invoices to the proper general ledger accounts. Monitors when tax is due and properly logs information. Verifies the status of all invoices to make sure they are accurate.
- The Accounts Payable Clerk processes checks as needed and tracks information such as date, check number range, and total check run amounts and makes sure they balance. For outstanding checks, the Accounts Payable Clerk contacts the payee to correct the issue.
- Writing up and getting approval on authorization forms for short-pays and paybacks to vendors.
- Calculating, preparing, and processing check and wire transfer payments for prepay invoices.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Requirements
- Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Six months office experience preferred.
- Physical Demands: Low physical demands required. The employee is regularly required to sit for sustained periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to operate a 10 key calculator.
