Description of Work Description of Work: The primary purpose of this position is to certify deposits in the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) for Divisions of DEQ. The successful candidate will assist with deposits, transfers, reporting and reconciliation in NCFS. This position will work independently and is responsible for timely response to management assignments and division questions. Key Responsibilities: Timely processing and reconciliation of deposits and transfers. Accurate review of supporting documentation. Monitoring and reporting cash balances. Certify deposits in NCFS. Communication with internal and external parties concerning payment status and processing. Associate’s degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience; or High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
