If you thrive in turning chaos into creativity, this could be a dream role for you. I have been running my business, and my life quite frankly, like a roller coaster at an amusement park. Really fun for a bit, but after a while, you're ready to get off. As a result, some of the fundamentals of my business like customer support, and social media marketing/support are run haphazardly, putting me and the rest of the team in a constant state of anxiety wondering whether we're missing anything. Same with my personal life. I recently flew to Thailand with my dog and I was nearly stopped from continuing in South Korea because the airline did not have the proper paperwork in time. As I ranted like a lunatic in the airport that they were NOT going to put my puppy in a crate and he WAS going to fly in the business class cabin with me, I had visions of them taking my dog, putting him in a crate, and then God knows how often luggage gets misplaced...in a flash while I was standing there the whole scene played out where they lost Lazarus and I never saw him again. At the same time, I felt so frustrated that this could have been easily avoided with a better system to run my life. In the end, they airline saw it my way. A woman working for the airline was so kind and gracious and pushed the approval through personally. After my ranting, I stood in front of this woman with tears in my eyes so thankful to have avoided the vision that had just gripped me. Anyway, I experience similar turmoil over our customer service. Our customer service tone is great. When customers interact with us, they are thrilled. The team we have has built us from the ground up, but now, far too often people have fallen through the cracks. Just the other day, I saw an email from a customer that read: "It's been over a month. I want my f-ing refund" That is not acceptable. Beyond the ball of yarn that is, some customers don't get tracking numbers, some emails don't get responded to, our FB ads don't have anyone responding to them, our FB messenger responses are spotty and we have no social media presence. So far, we've built to over $1,000,000 in revenue only through paid ads. As I'm writing this I'm realizing the thing is that we've outgrown the shoot from the hip cowboy approach I used to start the company and now it is time to build structure. Processes that always get followed. A way to track to make sure nothing is slipping through the cracks. But you can't be some accountant type who lives their life in a spreadsheet. You have to have your finger on the pulse of what is going on. So our social media is effective. And so you can help with the personal side for me. Things like: -Brainstorming next destinations and activities to do there -Booking accommodations (you have to have a keen eye for style and not book me to stay in some dump like the ant-infested place I booked for myself...but the view from the pictures was dope) -Helping to find places where Laz can get training in the different places I travel -Making sure I have all the documents I need for everything and that I don't overstay my visa without knowing it. For example, I've been in Thailand for almost 2 months now. I just booked for one more month in a non ant infested villa. I think I can be in the country for 6 months, before I get a penalty, but I'm not sure. And I don't want to look it up. I find all the bureaucracy nauseating and want someone who will take care of all that and remove the nausea. -Finding help for me wherever I am living. For example, at my ant-farm, the landlord did not send a maid until I requested and only 1/week. I wanted someone to come every day. But I am not going to spend time online trying to figure out how to find them. Also, I really want to find a great calisthenics trainer to work with. -Help building out the structure of my life. For the last few years I've basically smoked weed, worked out and, well that's about it. It was fun for a while, but now I'm ready to spread my proverbials. I want someone to talk to about ideas; and someone who can help create the structure of follow through. Also, our ultimate vision is to create a community for our customers. We had one on FB with 2500 people and it was thriving before FB shut it down. Here are things that will disqualify you immediately: If you cannot deliver when you say you do, you will be fired immediately so don't waste my time or yours. My expectation is 100% follow through on every role and responsibility. If you have trouble communicating, if you cannot speak your mind, if you just say yes all the time, you will be of no use to me our my business. If you are easily offended, you do not want to work for me. I am focused on achieving the goal, not perpetually maintaining the illusion of some happy feeling that we're supposed to have.
