2026 Summer Intern - Global Procurement Department Summary Global Procurement - (PT Procurement Network) is responsible for maximizing the value delivered to Roche & Genentech's Drug Substance and Drug Product portfolio of cGMP direct material goods and services. Direct Materials are those raw materials from suppliers that directly impact our drug products (e.g. vials, stoppers, filters, chemicals, resins, etc). The intern will support Global Category Managers in leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement optimal total-cost-of-ownership solutions that address supply chain, operations, technical, and quality business requirements. The intern will develop and implement projects internally (within Roche) and externally (with suppliers) for operational optimization, quality improvement, global network alignment, and cost savings initiatives. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity Understanding of Direct Materials Supplier Management at Roche. Technical understanding of direct material impact on the biotech business, product, cGMP practices and Quality systems. Project management skills as project lead and participant. Relationship management, facilitation and influencing skills of cross-functional teams. Operational/tactical procurement activities including spend analysis, cost savings project management, performance metric trending, and beyond. Program Highlights Intensive 12 months, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer). A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry. Who You Are Required Education: Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program). Targeting 2024 graduates and students graduating in 2025. Required majors: Science background, engineering, operations management, or finance with a science minor. Required skills: Strong communication, leadership/collaboration, and project management skills. Ability to operate and execute effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines. Self-starter with an agile mindset & hands-on mentality who navigates and takes advantage of ambiguity to seek the most effective and sustainable outcomes. Process-oriented with strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and proactive approach that is focused on results. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: Advanced in all Google Suite tools and Tableau tools. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary for this position based on the primary location of California is $33.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
