A Freight Agent is responsible for arranging, coordinating, and tracking transportation shipments of goods for clients. This involves negotiating rates with carriers, communicating with clients, coordinating pickups and deliveries, and ensuring that shipments arrive on time

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments for clients
• Negotiate rates with carriers
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and carriers
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on shipment status
• Identify cost-saving opportunities for clients
• Track and analyze shipment data to identify trends and improve processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
• Experience negotiating rates with carriers
• Strong negotiation and sales skills in logistics and freight
• Proficient in transportation planning and management
• Experience with customer relationship and account management
• Knowledge of supply chain management and 3PL operations
• Familiarity with contracts, pricing, and transportation sales

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
