2. Describe responsibility:
Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center (a) Safety and Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures and (d) Patient and Customer Service.

Prepares equipment and chemicals necessary for completion of daily job assignments

Report any safety hazard, broken equipment or other problems immediately to supervisor
5. Describe responsibility:
Follow proper policy and procedures implemented by the Housekeeping Department.

Maintain professional attitude and image including uniform and hospital ID card toward fellow staff, visitors and patients.

8. Describe responsibility:
Furnishings
Conference, over bedside, bedside and dining tables and chairs

Overhead lights, exam lamps, and office lamps
Computers, copiers, shelving/ledges and telephones

9. Describe responsibility:
Collection and Removal of Trash, both regular and regulated medical waste from receptacles and transporting to collection site. Relines trash receptacle with appropriate clean liner. Ensures proper supply of soap, paper towel and toilet paper in dispensing units, replenish if needed.
10. Describe responsibility:
Moves, lifts and transports furnishings/items which are required to be re-located temporarily for cleaning purposes (beds, over bedside tables, bed side tables) so that floors can be properly dusted and damp mopped.

Damp wipe and disinfect stretchers, wheel chairs and Geri chairs. Spot wash wall surface, glass and handrails, To clean as required and completely disinfect discharged patient room, and dress bed with clean
12. Describe responsibility:
To inspect daily, cubicle and shower curtains and drapes for cleanliness and to replace when needed or instructed by supervisor and to maintain housekeeping equipment in clean and working conditions.
- 1-2 years healthcare or related housekeeping experience preferred.
Must be able to do physically strenuous work and remain standing for long periods.
High school or GED
