Siemens is looking for a Plant IT Support Person for our location in Pomona, CA.
This role involves providing technical support and maintenance for our IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate a solid technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing timely support to our staff. The schedule for first 3 months for training would be 8am to 5pm, and then transition to a 10am to 7pm once trained Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer components and software.
- Collaborate with IT team members to design and implement technology solutions that support manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of all corporate employees, ensuring a smooth transition for their IT needs.
- Manage on site inventory and the total lifecycle of IT assets.
- Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms that nontechnical people can understand. Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is required.
- 2-4 years of experience in industrial IT environments.
- Solid grasp of manufacturing processes, related technologies, and capability to fix different hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with networking, server management, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Must be physically fit enough to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. for duties (i.e. delivering computers, unpacking and rack-mounting equipment).
- Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as the need arises.
- Basic Technical Certification A+ / Network+ / Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCITP)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and related modules. Technical Skills:
- Networking Protocols: Understanding of TCP/IP and Ethernet.
- Industrial Standards: Familiarity with Profinet and Modbus.
- Cybersecurity Practices: Proficiency in standard methodologies for cybersecurity.
- Skills in running Windows and Linux workstations.
- Experience with various virtualization technologies.
- Competence in mobile device management systems.

- The pay range for this position is $60k - $80K. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
