Job Summary:

ACS is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining organized inventory processes. Your ability to work independently, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively will contribute directly to our operational success. Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information and meticulously counting, weighing, or measuring items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other relevant records.
• Accurately record the receipt of materials into our software system, ensuring data integrity.
• Efficiently pick and pack materials for shipment, demonstrating a strong understanding of clean and quality packaging methods to protect goods.
• Carefully examine outgoing shipments to guarantee they meet all specified requirements and standards.
• Proactively manage material inventories through the execution of regular cycle counts and participation in physical inventory processes.
• Ensure and maintain an adequate stock of shipping materials and supplies, anticipating future needs.
• Perform light facility maintenance tasks, including cleaning and organizing work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
• Provide support in the setup and arrangement of equipment and materials within the facility as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move items within the facility.
• Perform any other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the warehouse and logistics functions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of applicable work experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to think quickly and independently to resolve issues and complete tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrated helpfulness and a proactive approach to supporting team needs.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a self-starter mentality.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A positive attitude and a strong team player mentality.
• Comfort and proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Ability to accurately locate parts in inventory and perform basic calculations for counting, weighing, and measuring.
• Capability to locate, understand, and utilize relevant documentation for shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to read specifications, understand packaging requirements, and execute them correctly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to take and pass a pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
